1. Okay guys. I love Disney. It brings me joy. But I don't know if I can go all month!! I mean, today was only "F" and already, I'm like ".....". So, uh, we'll see if I make it...
I'm actually almost considering just failing the challenge all together, and finishing out with one night each week designated to ABC Disney. Thoughts? I mean, I feel like it'd be more enjoyable...Hmmm.
2. So today, I had my first actual day of work in the longest time!!! Oh my goodness, it's just so refreshing! See, at the outlet mall nearby, there's a store opening called "Book Warehouse" and that's where I'm now working! Now, it's not open just yet...today we staff members were there while it was being painted and set up, and so we just got the basics down and cleaned. But it was an 8 hour day, and it was just so great!! It's been like, a year and a half since I worked a legit 8 hour day. And it's SO cool to be there when the store is starting out: we get to see it come together, and learn the system of it together as a team...I'm super happy about that. See, I've had 2 other jobs besides this, both where I was coming in as a brand new person with no clue what she was doing, and it was just blahhhh. But at this store, we're all learning together, and it's just such a relief.
Not to mention, it is a bookstore. *cough* Someone's probably gonna end up spending more than she's earning...*cough*
3. Deleting people off of Facebook is refreshing. I mean, lately I'm just like "ugh Facebook" anytime I'm on it, and "ugh people" anytime I'm on it. Especially being home schooled this year, I realize that so many of the people I'm "friends" with, I'll probably never talk to again.
I mean, think about it this way, and if you go to public school, you know what I mean: after you graduate, how many people are you going to stay in contact with? If you're me, um...2. (and yes, I did just count; remember, I'm home schooled this year, I mayaswell have graduated). And then you realize, "I was never even friends with any of those people! I would smile at them, and I would say hi, but that was it. And now they just say irritating things on Facebook." So it's like....I'mma delete you. Sorry, yo.
I would never do that...*cough*
4. My mommy's allergic to kitties. I wish she wasn't...my friend's giving away kittens, and I want one soooo bad!! I would totally love him and cherish him, you know? But mom's allergic...=sad me.
5. First of all, in Rapunzel's words (imagine her expression here): "Don't freak out!!"
Okay. I've decided it (yes btwn #1 and #5, the decision has been made). I have failed.
I have failed the ABC challenge.
Go ahead. Be angry at me...But I just can't go on! I'm losing my appreciation for Disney, you guys!! Okay, not losing it, but it's died the slightest little bit.
Plus, I'm going to be unbelievably busy for this next week straight, and I don't even know when I'd find the time to do it :( It actually does take quite a little chunk of time to find all of the perfect pictures, and greatest quotes, ya know ;)
BUT I am going to do them once a week, or whenever I feel inspired.
My apologies guys; your blogger here is a failure.

You're not a failure!! And the "O" key on this keyboard is being stubborn. Goshbubbles!
ReplyDeleteYou should keep going with the challenge! You know, maybe tomorrow you could do, G is for Goshbubbles, because...blah. Or G is for Green Gables..or Gilbert Blythe or something like that. I personally think you should keep going...please? Whatever you decided I'm cool, but please?

P.S. I LOVE the line "Imma delete you. Sorry, yo." EPIC.
I completely understand the feeling of wanting to slow way down! I really enjoy the Disney posts, but once a week would be just as great. You've been doing a awesome job! I'll look forward to your choice of 'G'. :D

Congratulations on your job- it sounds great!
ReplyDeleteThat's ok if you aren't doing ABC Disney... you definitely do NOT want to lose your love of it! :)
~Julia
Jocee, I would totally keep going! But I'm hardly going to be home for the next week, and since it's a daily thing, I just don't think I could keep up with it! :/ I don't know that I'll be blogging much in general these next few days :(
ReplyDelete*nods head wisely*
ReplyDeleteYeah, blogger challenges do get kinda old real fast....especially ones where you have to find pictures and stuff!!!
Dude, I am sooooo jealous that you get to work at a bookstore!!! Though, if I ever do work at one....I probably won't make any money. You know what I mean. *wink wink*
your book-desiring soul-sis,
~Lily

hi Lauren:)
ReplyDeletejust passin` thru while visiting others involved with the challenge. i gotta tell you....you've got beautiful blog here! don't beat yourself up over getting behind or for dropping out. no one will berate you for it. i've seen a lot of blogs in which a single photo or a list of a few words corresponding to the letter are posted. this challenge actually hampers my writing style. i completed this challenge last year but almost quit when i got to the S....but continued on. just be yourself and don't worry about meeting other people's expectations or keeping up with jones`s. there's absolutely no pressure! just take your own sweet time.
