Day 10: A photo of you taken over ten years ago

Soo I was a little bit iffy about this post, and tomorrow's post, but oh, whatever. Why not?

And dagnabbit, it's so tiny again!!! Aargh! It won't let me make it any bigger :[
I'm such a failure. (Though I feel like this is going to happen every time I upload a picture that's my own >:|)
Oh well, I'm an adorabe failure though, arent' I? With my Sylvester cat glasses, and Sailor Moon T-shirt ;D And I'm just about 18; and I can't imagine I'm any older than 6 or 7 in this photo ;)

Day 9: A photo you took.

So there it is! I took this photo a couple of years ago, actually; I was going through an "I'm going to take snazzy photos!" phase ;D
And I have no clue why it's so tiny? I've never had that happen to me before while uploading a picture in a post...Oh, well, you can still see it. ;)

Well, my friends, I have a confession to make:
I am in love.
Okay, okay, maybe not in love, but it's close! Okay, not really, I'm dramatic, what can I say?
Anyways!

Behold:
The man of my dreams.

Matthew Gray Gubler. Is he NOT the most adorable thing you ever did see?
I think so ;)

You may know him as Dr. Reid on Criminal Minds. (Yes, I remember saying that Gilmore Girls is all I watch anymore. Which is mostly true; but my long lost love for Criminal Minds has been rekindled at last.) Though I am curious what he's like in real life...I mean, his character in Criminal Minds is such a combination of oddness, uniqueness, and awesomeness...definitely anything but normal! Hmmm.

"Take criticism, smash it into dust, add color & use
it to paint breathtaking images of unicorns frolicking thru endless fields of greatness."
-Matthew Gray Gubler :D :D :D

^^^Look at that! Such magical, snazzy words! Oh, be still my heart!

^^^This is just so beyond awesome. :D I just looove him.

Day 8: A thank you letter to someone who has changed your life.

Soo I've been putting this off all day. Because I have had no clue (and still don't) who I'm going to write my letter to. See, dear friends, I am someone who finds so much to be personal; I don't share a ton (which makes it kindof funny that I have a blog, right? Ha!), and the initial people that pop into my head make me think "Um, no, I'm not going to blog about that person!" You know what I mean? Yeah, I'm a little weird sometimes.

But after sitting here for like 5 minutes, after writing that first paragraph, my person has come to me. It may not be someone I know personally, but oh well! It is someone who has had some impact on my life, and that's what counts. ;)

Ahem.

Dear Steven Curtis Chapman,

You know, ever since I was little, your music has been playing in the background of my life; from my mother playing it throughout the house, to my aunts playing it in the car, you've been a household name!

When you lost Maria Sue, my heart just broke for you and your family. I can't even begin to imagine the pain you must have been feeling; except that I can imagine it, because you shared it with us. With all of us! I know that your Beauty Will Rise CD was like a way of journaling; of venting, almost. It was your way to express some of what you were feeling, to get some of it out. And I am so, so grateful that you published it, when you definitely did not have to.

That album has impacted me more than you could know. God has used it in so many incredible ways, not just in me, but in countless people. Your words are so powerful; and it's as if the emotions you've put into the songs can be felt so strongly, just by listening to them.

So, Steven Curtis Chapman, I thank you. I thank you for publishing those songs, your thoughts, your heart's cries...and sharing them with us. I wonder if you know just how much it truly means to so many people.

Day 7: Five things you couldn't possibly live without.

1. God. I mean, I often find myself wondering how other people go through this life without Him... I know I couldn't do it.

2. My family/friends (obviously). Couldn't live without 'em ;D

3. Water! And not just because it's impossible to live without; it's pretty much all I drink. I looove it.

4. Music. Ahh music.

5. Hmmm. My voice! No, seriously. I talk/sing so much. A sore throat is practically torture for me. When Ariel gives her voice to Ursula in The Little Mermaid, I feel all claustrophobic! It's pretty rough.

The end ;D

Wowza.

One quick comment for the night:

So, earlier today, or maybe it was yesterday, I heard on KLove that there was a Superbowl commercial that mentioned John 3:16 that would only be played in only select areas of the country; it couldn't be played everywhere, because it was considered a religious ad.

Yet tonight, they aired several inappropriate, downright filthy commercials. Huh. I just don't get it. I mean, I, along with I'm sure many other Christians tuned into the Superbowl, was offended. My 10 year old brother and 9 year old sister were watching with us; as you can imagine, my parents and grandparents weren't too happy about it. And I mean, alcohol ads are one thing, but ads that are just completely inappropriate are another.

But what strikes me is that they air these ads with no issue...yet they won't air one that mentions Jesus.

Well. Wouldn't want to offend anybody, I suppose.

What a world.

Day Six: A moment you wish you could relive.

This one is even more difficult than picking favorites, because, as Bleah Briann says, it is, in fact, quite a personal question. I mean, there are some moments that pop into my head, but I don't feel comfortable sharing? Ha! And then there are others that are just so small, that no one else would understand. Then there's always the issue of "how do I choose??"

So, since about halfway through yesterday, when I looked at what day six would be, I've been pondering. I mean, there are so many wonderful moments I have to look back on: hearing my cousin Marcus' very first cry! Spazzing out when my brother and his now-fiancee gave us the news that they were engaged! Sitting on the balcony of our condo at Myrtle Beach, just staring out at the ocean, thinking of how incomprehensibly amazing our God really is. The times where my brother and I would play with our cousins in the treehouse in my grandparents' backyard, picking berries off of nearby trees and pretending to eat them (ha!). Casting Crowns' 2010 concert: yes, I would absolutely relive that, despite the fact that I was soo terrified, we were up so high! Going camping with my best friend, and giving nicknames to all the people around us. :D

All of these moments and so, so many more. How could I ever choose just one? ;)
